It was one of the worst-kept secrets in World Wrestling Entertainment, but Bobby Roode seemingly arrived in NXT last night. As NXT General Manager William Regal was being interviewed backstage, Roode nonchalantly strolled down the corridor, coffee cup in hand, and merely strolled past Regal into an office.

A stagehand whispered into Regal's ear and the interview was cut short, and the GM headed into the office to presumably talk to Roode. The show then cut back to the announce desk where Corey Graves, looking all the while like the world's smuggest man, simply said 'Bobby Roode'.

So yeah, Bobby Roode has arrived. Whilst former TNA stars turning up in NXT has begun to feel a little tired, Roode is arguably the one name left from the past of that company who is genuinely a big deal. Tye Dillinger, you best get ready to be Roode Bombed out of your socks.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
