1. An Insanely Dramatic Family Reconciliation
After the beloved Owen passed away at Over The Edge 1999, Nattie said it caused the entire family to splinter. She said it made it hard to be involved in wrestling after that, but it is such a huge part of their lives and it split them down the middle. Stu's induction into the WWE Hall of Fame was the first time the entire family had been together since Owen's funeral, and even though the meeting was therapeutic, in true Hart fashion there were still conflicts to be had. Allison got into a dispute with John Laurinaitis on the Thursday beforehand - for reasons unbeknownst to Nattie and Tyson - which caused Bret to rush to John's aid since it would create tension for the Harts still employed with WWE. Jim Ross said that shouldn't affect Tyson, Nattie and Harry and Bret responded with "Ross, do you have rocks in your head?" Saturday night after the Hall of Fame Michael Hayes pulled the Hart Dynasty aside to tell them they were being worked into the story of the match between Bret and Vince. Vince, Triple H, Shawn and the entire Hart family are all going over the plans in the green room and then Bruce starts to interject. The initial plan was for Vince to have tried to buy off the Harts to be his lumberjacks but The Hitman gets wind of it and prevents it. Bruce tells Vince his idea doesn't make sense because it turns him babyface since he has the odds stacked against him, then suggests that he bloody up Bret to get some heat on him. Every few sentences Bruce continues to interrupt Vince with ideas like Batista, Triple H and Shawn get involved, which Michael Hayes tries to politely shoot down until Bret finally has to shut his brother up. Bruce doesn't take the cue and continues to complain about the booking, and then Helen interjects with the suggestion that Jim Neidhart get involved. Nattie's mom agreed, and then her daughter made her cry by telling her to stop. Then the Harts start trying to get their brother Wayne appointed as the referee, which causes a crying argument between Bret and Allison, and all the time McMahon is laughing at how entertainingly crazy the entire family is. This was a fun talk that covered some new Hart stories while also rehashing several that longtime fans have probably heard before. Stories about the Hart family never cease to be entertaining, as it's amazing what a trainwreck they can be at times. Unfortunately this interview seems to have been recorded before Kidd's injury because it would have been nice to get his perspective on the challenges he's now facing.
