11 Things We Learned From Tyson Kidd & Nattie On Talk Is Jericho
9. Tyson & Teddy
Chris asks if Tyson is blood-related to the Harts, and he replies that he's not, saying that he went to elementary school with Teddy, "probably the craziest of all of them." For those who aren't familiar, Teddy Hart is a talented young wrestler with skills and charisma who has continuously sabotaged his own career with irresponsible self-destructive behavior. He's currently clinging onto relevance by training his cat to do wrestling moves. Tyson says that Teddy used to constantly invite him over, calling his house a gym, and the first time over he introduced him to his mom, who he called by his first name. From there he took him over to Stu's house, where everything snowballed into an obsession with wrestling. Tyson said that he had seen it before but had no one to share his fandom with because he and his two sisters were raised by a single mom, so his relationship with the Harts was a blessing for him. They then talk about how many families have tried to lay claim to being the biggest wrestling family, but there's no really no competition. In addition to all the male brothers who wrestled, the sisters all married into the business as well, in addition to Bret's sister-in-law marrying The Dynamite Kid. They also mention that Roddy Piper may or may not be a cousin, but that with Roddy you can never really tell when he's being truthful. Tyson and Nattie tell a story about meeting up with Teddy during WrestleMania weekend, and he showed up with his wife, two girlfriends and his cat, Mr. Money, who he started tossing up in the air and doing spots with.
