11 Things We Learned From Tyson Kidd & Nattie On Talk Is Jericho
8. The Dynamite Kid
Jericho asks if they ever got to meet The Dynamite Kid before the falling out, and Tyson replies that he didn't although he did have a chance to. Robbie Brookside - who's now training in NXT - offered to introduce them, but Tyson said his opinion was too colored by being close to Davey Boy Smith that he turned it down. He adds that he loves watching his work on YouTube and was afraid that if the meeting went sour it would ruin that for him. He says that Harry Smith has met him and said he was great, so he regrets missing his chance. This leads to talk about the falling out between the two, and Tyson says the version of the story he got was after The British Bulldogs left the WWE and were back working in Stampede, they were approached in the locker room by Vince McMahon who tried to bring them back to his company. Davey Boy was receptive to the offer by Dynamite wanted no part of it, which created some tension. At this point Dynamite was really beaten up physically and Smith was carrying most of the load, so he made the move to return because he felt it ewas best for his family. Smith's wife Diana trademarked the tag team name which was another source of serious hard feelings, and the two never patched things up before Davey passed away. Tyson talks about how timeless The British Bulldogs were, and said you could insert them into the classic TLC tag matches or pair them up with The Usos tonight and they would fit in perfectly.
