11 Things We Learned From Tyson Kidd & Nattie On Talk Is Jericho

5. Brokering The Peace Between Shawn & Bret

Jericho says that Cody Rhodes and Tyson are human encyclopedias of wrestling trivia, and this leads to a story about Tyson's early interactions with Shawn Michaels. He said his first night working in WWE he had a dark match with Jamie Noble and Steve Lombardi came and told him that Shawn was looking for him. Michaels was very complimentary and had a lot of nice things to say, which he says was a huge thing for him because HBK is his favorite of all-time, something that it's taboo in the Hart family. Kidd remarks that he told Bret that Shawn had taken him under his wing, and when he recounted that to Shawn, his entire demeanor changed, replying that he didn't know he had any connection to the Harts. He said the two started talking and it got pretty deep. Michaels confessed that sometimes he thinks about showing up on Bret's doorstep and letting him punch him out in hopes they could finally get past their issues and talk. Nattie mentioned that to Bret and Hart was obsessed with finding out exactly what HBK said to Tyson. Bret said he didn't trust him, saying that if he called Shawn and his rival hung up on him that he'd be getting one over on him. Tyson said that Shawn seemed very genuine, and he passed Bret's number onto him. Kidd said that their heat was such that it couldn't be dealt with over the phone, and said that he thinks Shawn timed his call so that Bret would be in mid-flight on his way to Raw, just so he could leave a message and break the ice.
