From the moment a table failed to break under the weight of poor Sasha Banks at Hell in a Cell, word has spread that Vince McMahon is eager to hotshot the inevitable Charlotte/Bayley Raw Women's Championship feud. Whether or not you think that is the right move is another story for another day, but it made the two women surviving this match somewhat predictable.

Sometimes, predicatable also happens to be right. The night was going to be full of partners turning on each other in the heat of battle, so keeping that until after the match here was a good move and one dependent on the two surviving.

Overall the women's match was good, albeit one that lost momentum frequently thanks to mistimed spots. Nia Jax looked like a beast until a terribly messed up elimination, and Alexa Bliss continues to be one of the most improved performers in the entire company.

Bayley & Charlotte surviving was the right call.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
