On the subject of the battle of the bigs, Big Cass vs. Big Show was a monotonous waste of everyone’s time. It was never going to be an instant classic, but it didn’t need to be as dull as it was. Cass and Show should have gone out throwing bombs at each other - instead we got two giants struggling to move whilst a rabid weasel shouted at them from above.

Whilst Big Cass did look somewhat dominant in victory, this match did little to get him over. His limitations are still clear to all, and putting him opposite a 45-year-old Big Show isn’t going to mask them. This was 10 minutes that felt like 30, and all three men involved took backward steps as a result.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
