11 Times WWE Made An Ass Clown Out Of Chris Jericho

9. Fozzy Live On RAW

Jericho will have been undoubtedly overjoyed with the publicity this appearance on the biggest weekly wrestling show brought his band, but there were a couple of things which undermined Fozzy's performance way back in 2002. The first is the crowd booing at the end. Obviously, this wouldn't have affected the performance in the eyes of the band's loyal following, or those who appreciate rock music in general. But those who were new to the group, or those who weren't familiar with the goings on in WWE at the time will have been put off by the crowd's negative response at the end of the set. Being 2002, Jericho was pound-for-pond the biggest heel in the company. So anything he would do was always going to be booed. The fans, as they showed after the performance, already had their minds made up, no matter how great Fozzy proved to be. The second thing which blighted the performance was Jerry 'The King' Lawler. At a couple of noteworthy intervals, when an impressive solo was taking place no less, King saw fit to comment and cloud the music somewhat. Even though he was blowing smoke up Fozzy's proverbial a**, his comments were needless and took something away from the spectacle. It made them seem ever so slightly insignificant. It would have been better for all concerned if King kept his mouth shut and let the music do the talking. These were a couple of subtle things that went some way to hampering the band's display. Nothing too serious though... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P52viidaX-g
