11 Undeniable Reasons WWE Raw Ratings Are Plummeting
9. A Lack Of Surprises
In order for a show to be must-see TV, you have to give the fans a reason to tune in to the first-run airing of the program. Thats the reason why shows like The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones are such massive ratings successes; if you miss an episode, not only will you get left behind when following the story but it's also a near impossible feat to avoid having it spoiled for you by the passionate fan base via social media. The Monday Night Wars were well-known for delivering constant surprises as guys used to jump back and forth between companies and both WCW and WWE were in constant competition to keep eyes on their show. The end of WCW and ECW really hurt that aspect of wrestling, and there just hasnt been much attempt to replicate it. Not to mention the surprises we do get are almost always spoiled well in advance for those that choose to seek out the information. Sure we've had a few legitimate shockers lately such as the return of The Dudley Boyz and Chris Jericho joining up with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose, but they're much fewer and farther between than at the height of the the industry's most prosperous years, and it's one of the reasons why Raw is a completely missable show most weeks.
