11 Undeniable Reasons WWE Raw Ratings Are Plummeting

5. Seth Rollins' Championship Reign Has Been A Failure

This one hurts me to write because I don't fault Rollins one bit for the abomination that his first run as WWE world champion has turned out to be. He's one of the most talented workers in the world and deserves to be presented as such, but I don't think anyone can argue that WWE has dropped the ball with him on top. Can anyone think of a less-respected WWE champ in the modern era? Or even in WWE history? I mean we're talking Honky Tonk Man-level bad. He's been beaten clean more times than he's won, and every one of his opponents has embarrassed him in some form or fashion. I get that he's a heel and isn't supposed to be dominating guys. But Ric Flair wrote the book on how to be a cowardly heel champ and maintain your credibility, a book which somebody should have read before they began booking Rollins. I genuinely feel bad for him because he's amazing in the ring and has improved quite a bit on the stick. If WWE views his reign as the flop that it's been, I hope they at least have the self-awareness to blame themselves and not Seth Rollins, because he's gone above and beyond in doing every ridiculous thing that's been asked of him. Regardless, if no one takes your champion seriously in the least, why are they going to care about anyone else?
