11 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Double Or Nothing 2020

6. Brian Uncaged

Taz Brian Cage
AEW

So Brian Cage was the mystery man in the Casino Ladder Match and given that the likes of Rusev are hamstrung by non-compete clauses at the moment, this was about the best surprise fans could have hoped for.

'The Swoleverine' was originally linked to AEW in the wake of his Impact Wrestling departure earlier this year. It was put on hold when it was revealed Cage was suffering from a torn bicep and would require surgery, but finally, last night, big beefy Brian stomped down the tunnel with Taz by his side, forging a new wrestler/manager partnership.

Cage is an exciting all-action wrestler who looks the part as a major-league talent and another hoss to add to AEW's growing stable of big men. Strapped to the rocket on night one, he's destined for big things, and having Taz to do his talking for him should prove a smart move, particularly once their origin story is told. We'll presumably get some dialogue on how they came together on Dynamite.
