11 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dynamite (29 Sep)

9. Welcome Back

Lio Rush
AEW

It's good to see Lio Rush back in a major American promotion. Treated horrendously for a period in WWE, he returned to become one of the company's most consistent television performers in NXT, got released, drifted around the scene, then arrived in AEW, hurt his shoulder, and contemplated retirement.

And now he's back. The 26-year-old is #AllElite, as confirmed on Twitter, and he announced his arrival with a short promo last night.

Setting Rush up as a money-spinning businessman with flashy cars and a knack for making profits for himself, those around him, and the companies he works with, this was more a slither of the character than a full-on taste. It was enough to whet the appetite, though, and delivered well by the Man of the Hour.
