5. Pirate Moxley Spits Fire

Seeing Jon Moxley open the show in his home state was a riot. It wasn't his most incendiary promo, but he still had plenty of fire to spit at Chris Jericho in the Inner Circle, putting him over as the GOAT before slamming him for orchestrating five-on-one beatdowns, punching women, and hiding behind his boys.

Mox conceded he was no saint but said at the end of the day, he's a man who can look himself in the mirror. Jericho, meanwhile, is an egomaniac, a manipulator, a liar, a coward, and a bully. Jon called him out for a fight. 'Le Champion' was in typical form here, teasing the scrap before inevitably pulling the rug away, bringing out his stablemates and a gang of "street thugs" recruited by Ortiz and Santana.

10-on-1? Moxley was game. The building popped huge as the alternative-universe 'Death Rider' marched towards certain doom, drilling Ortiz with a Paradigm Shift on the ramp. It was suitably chaotic, got over, and concluded with an army of security pulling everybody apart, with Mox exiting through his people.

AEW are very, very good at these multi-person brawl angles. This one was definitely at the lower end of the quality scale, but it still worked. They'll likely need to employ a bit of creativity to carry this feud to Revolution, though.
