11 Ups & 3 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Dec 10)
9. A Good Desi Hit Squad Match?!
If you're a regular reader of this column, then you'll be aware that The Desi Hit Squad are frequent residents of the Downs side of the spectrum. However, they've got Raj Singh to thank this week as he put on a decent match with Fallah Bahh.
Raj is undoubtedly the better half of the two, the Montez Ford or the Otis of The Desi Hit Squad if you will. He's the one that produces the lovely pouncing knee strikes and reverse STOs, both of which he used to full advantage over Bahh. Both Gama Singh and Rohit Raju attempted to get involved during the bout, only for Bahh to remain in control of the match as he put Raj away with a Banzai Drop that would make Yokozuna proud.
So, not only did we get a decent singles match involving a member of the DHS, but we also saw the return from injury of TJP after the bell, with the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion saving Fallah from a beatdown. He flew into the ring with a lovely somersault dive, reuniting himself with his new pal after a good chunk of time apart.
A good match and a return - it's a win-win situation.
