11 Ups & 4 Downs For Impact Wrestling In 2020 (So Far)

When it comes to tag team wrestling, your thought process instantly directs you to All Elite Wrestling. The Young Bucks, FTR, The Lucha Bros, Private Party - it's easy to see why you would think of AEW as your go-to for doubles action. However, you'd be a fool to not check out Impact Wrestling's tag division, especially their reigning champs The North.

Lifting the titles on 5 July 2019, Ethan Page and Josh Alexander have gone on to become the longest-reigning World Tag Team Champions in the company's history, a milestone that greatly pleases longtime TNA fan Page. For a company to push you to the moon and have you be champions for over a full calendar year, you've got to have something special. If you've ever seen them wrestle or even just cut a short backstage promo, then you'll see that 'All Ego' and 'The Walking Weapon' possess that extra spark in abundance.

Obviously, long title reigns like this one always have the possibility of becoming stale over time. Take Becky Lynch for example. Her recent run as Raw Women's Champion had the full backing of fans at the start, but towards the end of it in the lead to her WrestleMania 36 showdown with Shayna Baszler, it felt as if we weren't getting the Becky Lynch we had all grown to love. Take what you've just read, and forget about it. That hasn't applied to Page and Alexander at any point during their reign. The matches, including those that were non-title, have been consistently great, while their vastly different personas have made them one of the most entertaining duos to watch, with Ethan's more comedic approach and Josh's no-nonsense attitude.
