11 Ups & 4 Downs From ALL IN 2018

3. Muting The Crowd

If Chicago sounded a little off tonight, it wasn't down to a lack of crowd investment.

Search the ALL IN Twitter hashtag and you'll find a number of beaming reports on the night's tremendous atmosphere. Unfortunately, this wasn't reflected on the live broadcast, on which the crowd noise was under-emphasised in the audio mix.

This is a shame. If the building was as loud as those in attendance claim, you ideally want that to be reflected on the feed, as crowd heat enhances everything. There's no better example of this than CM Punk's WWE Championship triumph at Money In The Bank - an excellent piece of sports entertainment scripting taken to the next level by Chicago's molten atmosphere. Sadly, this just didn't come through on FITE.tv, which gives the producers a big point for improvement if and when ALL IN 2 happens.

It wasn't terrible, and this is a borderline nitpick, but it was noticeable. On a show that pretty much lived up to all expectations across the board, we could have done without this minor technical issue.
