11 Ups & 4 Downs From ALL IN 2018

2. A Botched Finish

Tessa Blanchard ALL IN

ALL IN's most unfortunate moment came at the conclusion of the women's four-way, when what looked like a timing issue caught the victorious Tessa Blanchard by surprise, spawning a brief moment of confusion while the audience tried to figure out whether or not they'd just witnessed a botch.

The Impact Wrestling star had nailed her Hammerlock DDT finisher for the pin. Britt Baker charged over as if she were trying to break it up, and Blanchard reacted as if things were about to continue... but the bell rang.

It took the gloss off a bout that the fans were 100% into throughout, creating an odd segue between the conclusion and the women's united celebration. Wrestling isn't always fair. The slightest misstep can create a complete immersion-breaker in a split second, and that's what happened here.
