11 Ups & 4 Downs From ALL IN 2018

1. Timing Issues Lead To A Rushed Main Event

The main event was a 20-minute bout condensed into just over half that, with the six competitors forced to rush to an abrupt finish ahead of the FITE.tv feed cutting off before the moment could truly sink in. This meant that Cody and The Young Buck's event-closing speeches were dark segments, so if you were watching at home, you were deprived of the chance to watch their victory lap and heavy ALL IN 2 teases.

Major timing issues put them in this position. They had no scope to go over the four-hour timeslot by a single second, so it's safe to assume at least a handful of matches went over their allotted minutes, forcing them to make major sacrifices later on.

Though fans were still treated to an excellent main event, the competitors should never have been put in that position. Okada vs. Scurll, Lethal vs. Gordon, Rhodes vs. Aldis, the Joey Ryan segment: each ran a shade too long, and could've been snipped by at least a minute or two. This would have allowed the main all the time it needed to unfold and conclude naturally, but alas.

That a logistical issue was this show's biggest problem speaks volumes of its quality. Let's hope they keep a tighter schedule next time.
