11 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling Bound For Glory 2020
3. The Wrong Everything
The entire rivalry between Ken Shamrock and Eddie Edwards has been centred around 'The World's Most Dangerous Man' ambushing Eddie time after time, with the former two-time World Champion constantly failing to get one over on the newly inducted Hall of Famer.
At Bound For Glory, nothing changed.
While Eddie did manage to put up more of a fight here, Ken spent the whole match targeting his adversary's knee, which had buckled almost as soon as the bell rang. Furthermore, Sami Callihan being at ringside did nothing to help the match. 'The Draw' turned the lights off at one point, revealing a baseball bat once they returned. Eddie would then pull out Kenny the kendo stick to counteract Sami's move, a moment that did nothing to add to the story.
Having Ken Shamrock win the bout was the worst possible outcome. The rivalry, as stated, has gone entirely in his favour, plus there's no real benefit to having the former MMA fighter coming out victorious over someone who's spent the past six years fighting with the company on his back week in and week out.
God knows where Eddie Edwards can go from here. He was on fine form just a few months ago as World Champion, but he's seriously fallen down the pecking order since then.
