11 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling Bound For Glory 2020

2. Production Problems

The Countdown to Glory pre-show was a nice touch on Impact's part, as it made the pay-per-view overall feel far bigger than it already was. The production on it, however? Not so much.

Cutting from segment to segment seemed to be a major issue for the production team, while the panel team of Madison Rayne, D'Lo Brown, and Jon Burton had no chemistry with one another whatsoever. The three constantly cut each other off for no real reason. When the vision mixer failed to cut away from the three to a pre-taped video from Bret Hart, the trio were shown to be looking less than pleased to be there.

Sadly, these issues weren't just confined to the pre-show, as the main show featured Josh Mathews on commentary addressing the audio issues while his mic was still live, while a segment with Heath and Rhino had to have a live retake done. For such a minor segment, you wouldn't have imagined it would be so difficult to shoot.

Going forward, these sorts of pre-shows should be used on each and every pay-per-view. When they work, they exceed, and build even more hype for the event. We just need to get past these glaring issues.
