11 Ups & 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Dec 4)

1. A Little Consistency, Please?

The focus given to Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, and their relationship over the past few weeks has been refreshing, and it's great to see WWE putting some new women in the spotlight. This division often feels like a closed shop. Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Asuka are wonderful, but there's a whole lot of boringness below them, and SmackDown would benefit from developing a handful of midcarders.

That being said, we can't not point out the inconsistencies in their friendship, which continued last night.

Rose and Deville's will they/won't they split hasn't been well-handled. One week they're eliminating each other from a battle royal, the next they're besties again - without explanation. They held it together in last week's bout, but were struggling with miscommunication seven nights prior. On this show, they prospered because they were more together than Asuka and Charlotte.

This makes little sense. It feels like Sonya and Mandy flip-flop for no reason, and while a split angle could be a good way to build one or both up, the execution has been lacking so far. Let's hope the creative department get it together.
