11 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Oct 9)

5. Darby Allin Vs. Chris Jericho

The Jimmy Havoc match was a letdown, but holy hell, Darby Allin vs. Chris Jericho is going to be a sh*tload of fun.

Allin has already been established as a potential spoiler thanks to his draw with Cody. He pushed Jericho's Full Gear opponent to his absolute limit, with 'The American Nightmare' unable to defeat him within the allotted time limit, making him a credible opponent for the AEW World Champion. He's going to lose, of course he is, but just like Cody, Jericho is going to do everything in his power to get Darby over in defeat, and will batter, bludgeon, and throw the crazy bumper all across ringside with his new, brawling style.

This was absolutely the right choice for next week's show and Allin's crowd response in the closing angle shows people are into it, with the Jericho match now set to establish Darby as AEW's biggest rising star.
