11 Ups & 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (July 30)

7. Zayn Picks A Fight

The good news about Aleister Black's return to the darkened room is that it might not last all that long. Rather than prolonging the "pick a fight" bit, WWE opted, instead, to have Sami Zayn challenge the former NXT man for SummerSlam, having thrown the gauntlet down in an interview with Sarah Schreiber.

The former 'Underdog From The Underground' claimed that all he ever heard was people feeling sorry for themselves. This took him to Aleister Black, whom he said was in a lot of pain. Pointing out that all the moody goth ever does is sit around begging for a fight, it's really a cry for help, and that the audience will soon witness the illusion crumble as he "exposes the hype" at SummerSlam, after which Aleister can begin his healing process.

Sami always cuts a solid promo and this was no different, with Zayn building towards what would be an excellent, excellent match if given time.
