11 Ups & 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (July 30)

6. Oh, Look! A New Firefly Fun House...

... kind of.

This wasn't the full Fun House production we've come to expect. It was more of a straight-up wrestling promo featuring the same staging and, crucially, Rambling Rabbit, who said he was looking forward to SummerSlam as Finn Balor's number one fan. He called 'The Extraordinary Man'... well, extraordinary, though he said that he'd made a grave mistake in unleashing 'The Fiend.'

Balor, apparently, doesn't realise what the Fun House really is. That proclamation prompted Wyatt to enter. The puppet disappeared, Bray laughed, then flipped the tone, growing "let me in."

This is likely how WWE will continue with the Fun House going forward, as it's still the most effective way to frame Wyatt's character work even with him battering Balor and Mick Foley in recent weeks. A Raw highlight for months, it was good to have it back last night.
