11 Ups & 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (July 30)

2. Bayley Evens The Score

With Ember Moon snapping on Charlotte Flair and Bayley last week, leaving both lying in the ring, the SmackDown Women's Champion was out for revenge yesterday.

It began with a backstage segment. Bayley and Ember were set to team up against Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross, so 'The Hugger' warned her SummerSlam opponent not to pull any sh*t. Ember smiled, and the match itself was fine, with heels eeking out a victory when Bliss posted Moon, knocked Bayley down, then nailed her finisher for the pin.

Bayley helped Ember to her feet afterwards, receiving a nod of appreciation for her efforts. The champ's response? A Bayley-to-Belly, a shrug, and a smile.

This doesn't feel like something a character like Bayley should be doing. Surely, in situations like this, an honourable person would rise above, take the moral high ground, and not stoop to Moon's level? "Revenge" could be used as justification here, though your writer would prefer Bayley stayed true and pure.
