11 Ups & 6 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Nov 24)

6. Steve Defeats Rohit

In the latest Defeat Rohit Challenge, Crazzy Steve - dressed as Suicide - pinned the reigning X Division Champion, Rohit Raju. Of course, before the bell, 'The Desi Hitman' refused to put the title up for grabs, which came after he insinuated Suicide was actually TJP in disguise, so unfortunately for the former Decay member, he's without a title, although he does now have a title opportunity next Tuesday.

The former World Tag Team Champion donned the character's costume to answer the call of Rohit in a match that was generally alright for what it was. You often forget that Steve is a decent wrestler because he rarely gets the opportunity to show it. Keep in mind he's performing while legally blind, so the fact he can still wrestle at such a high level despite his impaired vision is astonishing. He was on fine form for the entirety of this match, constantly using technical abilities to combat the champion.

Raju distracted himself by unmasking 'Suicide', which was met by TJP arriving on stage, and Crazzy Steve rolling up the former Desi Hit Squad member for the three count. Your writer will happily admit he thought it was TJP under the mask when he originally entered, and so this was a delightful change from what was expected. Rohit's title reign has been packed full of surprises thus far. If we get any more, then his reign very well may be ranked among the best of them for years to come.
