11 Ups & 6 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Nov 24)

4. That's Bad (But Actually Really Good)

Kimber Lee vs. Killer Kelly was a decent watch. With Deonna Purrazzo and Renee Michelle in their respective corners, both Lee and Kelly delivered a stellar performance that gave fans a glimpse of Kelly and Michelle before they enter the Knockouts Tag Team Championships Tournament next Tuesday.

The Portugal native, in particular, excelled against 'The Crown Jewel' here, dishing out a delightful array of offence that included maybe the greatest butterfly suplex this writer has ever seen. A Swanton Bomb put her down, but it's the aftermath of this match that made it far more noteworthy. Deonna and Kimber were interrupted by the returning Susie, with the former Knockouts Championship challenger standing atop the stage while Su Yung took out both 'The Virtuosa' and her curator.

From a booking standpoint, this was an exceptional move. Everyone knows that Su Yung and Susie are the same person, but by including the sly move of keeping Susie on the stage while 'The Undead Bride' was in the ring gives the impression that actually, they are indeed separate entities. For that reason alone, it helped the narrative of the whole Su Yung vs. Deonna Purrazzo rivalry massively, which can only flow in the right direction now that Purrazzo and Lee have enlisted the services of one Father James Mitchell.
