11 Ups & 6 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Nov 24)

3. Fish Out Of Water

The Knockouts Tag Team Championships Tournament continued this week, as Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz took on the debuting Sea Stars pairing of Ashley Vox and Delmi Exo. Aside from one or two brief periods of awkwardness from Vox and Exo, the match was a great first round contest that was needed to both continue Kiera and Tasha's impressive streak, while also giving Ashley and Delmi the chance to shine on a big platform.

'The Hottest Flame' and 'The Boricua Badass' dominated here for chunks at a time, despite being the less experienced pairing of the two tandems. They cut the ring off to weaken the larger Delmi Exo, who did manage to bust out a beautiful Northern Lights suplex at one stage - eat your heart out, Alicia Fox. A bit of a weird conclusion saw Delmi tag herself in, only to be immediately knocked off the apron, which meant Kiera and Tasha had to remove Ashley from the ring and retrieve Exo from ringside for Hogan to pin here. Not the cleanest of endings.

As a whole, the match could have been a tad better, but overall, it was a fun match. For a debut, The Sea Stars impressed, and could very well fit in quite well once the Knockouts Tag Team Champions are crowned at Hard To Kill in January. There was no denying Kiera and Tasha were advancing here, as they're favourites to win the whole tournament, however, the reigning SHIMMER Tag Team Champions certainly gave them a run for their money on their first night.
