This week's boring in-ring revolving door opening segment was every boring in-ring revolving door opening segment you've ever watched on SmackDown.

The KO Show began with the host bringing out his guests, Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre. Owens read from cue cards and replayed footage of the heel duo bailing from The Undertaker, dropping some entertaining lines, mannerisms, and idiosyncrasies along the way, as he always does. McMahon and McIntyre eventually got angry, because of course they did, and Dolph Ziggler interrupted, cutting his usual bullsh*t promo about how he should be WWE Champion, prompting Shane to book them as an odd couple tag team against Heavy Machinery in the night's main event.

These mere box-ticking exercises need outstanding character work or a brilliant promo to stand out. Owens was solid, but not strong enough to pull it into the Ups column.
