5. The Feud Continues... But The Match Was Good

That The Miz and R-Truth versus Drew McIntyre and Elias ended in a heel victory means the long-running Miz vs. Shane McMahon feud probably isn't resolved yet, the match itself was decent.

The 24/7 rule was suspended to ensure the Awesome Truth could work a more conventional bout in their reunion. A wise move, and the bout's first arc largely consisted of the veteran taking the heat from the heels, with Shane pulling Miz down before the former K-Kwik could nail the hot tag. This isolation eventually paid off with Elias eliminating the man who pinned him under the ring the other week following a running knee, before the midcarders emerged, with a gang including Matt Hardy, Brian Kendrick, and more chasing Truth from ringside. Shelton Benjamin tried to steal the 24/7 Title without pinning Truth, that silly sausage.

Miz fell to the numbers game during a commercial. A brief comeback came to nothing, and he was eventually felled following McIntyre's Claymore.

Perhaps we'll get a true resolution to the Miz vs. McMahon saga someday, hopefully involving the prizefighting icon George Mizanin and his flawless boxing stance. Until then, we can live with bouts like this keeping things going.
