1. Women’s Rumble Delivers

Despite a few negative moments (including the aforementioned legends’ dominance), the first women’s Royal Rumble was pretty well booked.

Going on last after another Rumble match and a bunch of other title matches, the women’s bout could have been completely overshadowed and lost the crowd. But the string of surprise entrants kept fans involved and into it. The match never got too crowded, and most of the notable women got a chance to shine.

We saw the first female Kofi Kingston, with Naomi walking the guardrail and using a chair to wheelbarrow her way back into the match. Old rivalries were renewed. Friends – and siblings – turned on each other. And the right woman won the first women’s Rumble.

So while there were some hiccups, hats off for a new milestone for WWE, and hopefully they build off of it.
