11 Worst SummerSlam Posters In History

SummerSlam 2006 Poster

Now, I can’t say I’m sure which software they’ve used for their posters over the years, but it looks like 1991 was the year that someone was experimenting with Microsoft Word—although I must admit I’m not familiar with the program’s capabilities way back then...

But on the SummerSlam poster of the corresponding year, we saw all the textbook WordArt gimmicks incorporated, from vertical text to gradient effects. And on top of that, the images were crudely pasted onto another rather bland-looking background in what’s hardly the most compelling of adverts.

Again, time hasn’t done this one any favours. But unlike some of the previous efforts, I’m not even sure this one looked all that great back in the day when it was released.

I guess this could have been a whole lot worse, though, given that the show was headlined by a wedding. Let’s just be thankful that they veered away from going all in on that theme in the end…

Elliott Binks hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
