When the words 'TNA' and 'dropped the ball' are used in a discussion, the safe money is on Monty Brown's name coming up in the chat.

Brown was the first big organic star that TNA had on its hands, their own product who was really getting some momentum behind him with the crowd.

He had the look, the charisma, the promos and the finisher. He was more than acceptable between bells, but that was a little inconsequential. The crowd loved him.

Brown was unsuccessful in challenging for the top title in the company, but it seemed that his time would soon come. Well, anyone believing that needed to head back to the drawing board, as Monty Brown decided that the best way to deal with his lack of title shots was to cosy up to the champion, Jeff Jarrett.

Yeah, TNA did to Monty Brown what is truly does best; turned him heel for no reason, killing his momentum dead in the process.

Also, the irony of TNA dropping the ball when it comes to a former American Football player is not lost on me.
