11 Wrestlers Who Masqueraded As Rosebuds

3. Braun Strowman

Strowman Rosebud
WWE

If you type 'rosebud' into Google and search for images, you initially get a lot of pictures of, well, rosebuds. Add 'WWE' to that search and you'll get what we're talking about here, and in the first few images there is a familiar face sticking out of the back each time. He may be responsible for WWE's straightest face as he trucks dudes in late 2016, but in Spring 2014 Braun Strowman was all about a good time.

Yep, Strowman appeared on a number of occasions as a Roman Gladiator in the Exotic Express, tasked with being the man in charge of catching Rose during his leap of faith and also performing security duties at Rose's parties. Strowman was perfect for the role, although luckily this was all tweaked before the big man came to TV proper.

Those of you wondering whether Strowman will eventually work as a babyface or not need not worry; the man has a natural charisma and is a more than capable talker. We may have spent the last year talking about his limitations in the ring, but this time next year the world will be talking about Braun Strowman in far more glowing terms.

Adam Rose saw it coming.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
