11 Wrestlers Who Masqueraded As Rosebuds

8. Solomon Crowe

Before Adam Rose himself appeared on screen, gone but not forgotten Devin Taylor attended one of his parties. The very first Rosebud we saw? None other than the official Rosebud DJ himself, Solomon Crowe. Now Crowe never really caught on in NXT, due to a mixture of gimmick complications and being surpassed by other big names signed from the independent scene, all of which led to his release in 2015.

Many will know Crowe better as Sami Callihan, long-time cult favourite on the independent scene. 'The New Horror' is best known for his time in CZW, although you can find excellent matches of his from pretty much every stop on his path to date. He also just turned up in Lucha Underground as Jeremiah, and it'll be fascinating to see where that leads.

If all else fails he clearly has a career as a DJ to fall back on.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
