11 Wrestlers WWE Fired And Then Immediately Rehired

Fired: The period post-Rockers split from Shawn Michaels was a tumultuous one for Marty Jannetty.

He was released in March 1992, brought back in October, released once more in January '93 and then won the Intercontinental Title that May. The phrase 'long term planning' didn't apply here. Vinnie Mac was flying by the seat of his pants and seemingly changing his mind on Marty weekly.

Rehired: As aforementioned, Jannetty returned to the fed in October '92 and restarted his feud with ex-tag partner HBK. They'd finally clash on pay-per-view (at the 1993 Royal Rumble) more than a year after Michaels had turned heel, but that'd be another false start for Marty.

Jannetty was fired a second time when rumours suggested he'd been intoxicated for the match with Shawn at the Rumble. Then, to top off this messy saga, the WWF rehired Marty and put the IC belt on him for 20 days in May.
