11 Wrestling Legends Who Became WWE NXT Trainers
6. Robbie Brookside
Robbie Brookside led a nomadic existence before landing his first full-time WWE gig in 2013 at the ripe old age of 47.
The extent of his dealings with the company, prior to that, was a few jobber matches and a gig as part of a security detail charged with separating a brawl - which is pretty much a rite of passage for any wrestler looking to get on TV these days.
When he wasn't an anonymous extra, he was working across smaller promotions in Mexico, Japan, Germany, and his native United Kingdom, winning a whole host of minor-league titles and, apparently, amassing a wealth of wrestling knowledge in the process.
All things considered, that's not a bad career for someone who derived their ring name from a Channel 4 soap opera.
