11 WWE Divas Matches That Should Have Happened

3. Beth Phoenix Vs. Victoria

Victoria Vs Beth Phoenix Poor Victoria, the girl just can't catch a break. It's a shame looking back at Victoria's career in WWE and noticing that there would be months where WWE obviously had no idea what to do with her; yet there were many instances that key feuds, moments, and matches regarding Victoria practically laid themselves out in front of Creative, and went unnoticed. Case in point, aside from the last two matches we've listed, in 2006, a newbie Diva by the name of Beth Phoenix went up against Victoria. The result? Beth received a vicious slap and walked away ... with her jaw broken! Beth would disappear from television for a year and come back retooled as the Glamazon (and a friend of Melina Perez's, oddly enough) but never went after the woman that injured her. At that time, Victoria was already drafted to SmackDown!, so the argument is there that WWE never revisited the injury because the Divas were on separate brands; however, why did Victoria have to be traded if Beth - armed with a built-in vendetta against the Vicious Vixen - was set to return soon after? It made zero sense, especially when taking into consideration that Beth was now on the same brand as Mickie James, a woman she claimed to have history with when she originally debuted (and again, no reference of it was ever made throughout the course of Beth's career or later feuds with Mickie). At a time when WWE was trying to turn Candice Michelle into the new Trish Stratus and desperately trying to turn their Diva Search girls into bonafide wrestlers, a program or legitimate wrestling match between these Divas would've added some diversity and legitimacy to the floundering division.
