...let's talk about Charlotte Flair.

'The Queen' has sat on the throne for as long as she has because of performances such as this. Swaggering out with brilliantly obnoxious confidence that carried her through much of this urgent and unique retelling of their endless tale, Charlotte's confidence betrayed her panic later, and her wild cockiness hid a finish that almost fell apart.

Instead of allowing fans time to mourn Becky's loss, she stewarded some sh*thousery alongside Lacey Evans after the pair had conspired to rob her of the SmackDown Live Championship. Bayley's subsequent save and sensational cash-in capped the entire spectacle off in the grandest possible fashion and left plenty of fascinating questions requiring answers as the red and blue divisions take new shape.

As an extended sequence, it was ECW-quality in its execution, with a hugely happy ending akin more to modern-day WWE.

'The Hugger' may currently be riding a wave of f*ck you booking at her best friend's expense, but it's likely neither of them will care too much. Fans going wild in Hartford didn't seem to.

This entry ends where it started - none of the above could have landed as well without the inherent hideousness of Charlotte Flair. She'll surely make it to 10 titles soon enough.
