11 WWE Poster Boys That Didn't Make The Pay-Per-View

1. The Wyatt Family - Payback 2016

The most recent addition to this group.

The adverts for this year's Payback special event featured a typically wordy promo from Bray Wyatt, but when the show came around his band of bearded bad boys were nowhere to be seen. Bray himself was dealing with an ankle injury, Luke Harper is still out with a torn ACL and Erick Rowan was most likely still dealing with the shame of his six second loss to The Rock at WrestleMania 32.

It could have been so very different however, as immediately after WrestleMania the Wyatt Family teased a face turn and a feud with the League of Nations. When Bray eventually returned he did so as his old self, and it is difficult to disagree with the idea that WWE has missed a trick somewhat.

Still, the heavily filtered images made for a great little poster for what was ultimately a pretty darn okay show.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
