11 WWE Stars Who Made Appearances For Other Promotions

10. Kurt Angle

Vince McMahon Chaotic Wrestling
WWE

Back in 2000, Kurt Angle was busy carving out one of the best rookie years we’ve seen in WWE. Meanwhile, he was also busy making occasional appearances outside of the company, for the likes of International Wrestling Association (IWA) in Puerto Rico and Ultimate Pro Wrestling (UPW) in California.

In June, he faced Perry Saturn at an IWA event, which admittedly was co-promoted by WWE, and also featured Too Cool, Hardcore Holly and the team of Edge and Christian. Then three months later, he met Christopher Daniels at a UPW show, on a card that also saw Taka Michinoku in action.

Again, both organisations acted loosely as feeder systems to WWE, and for UPW in particular, it wouldn’t be the first time WWE stars made cameos for the promotion. A whole host of names including Edge and Christian, Lita, Matt and Jeff Hardy, Steven Richards, Ivory and Molly Holly would turn out for the promotion between December 2000 and April 2001.
