11 WWE WrestleMania Headliners Who Didn't Make The Following SummerSlam

1. Daniel Bryan & Batista - WrestleMania XXX

I'll end with one tinged with sadness.

To end an emotional night in 2014, Daniel Bryan stood tall at the climax of WrestleMania XXX with two World Championship belts in hand, after putting on one of the greatest single night performances in wrestling history. After years of struggle, he was finally on top of the mountain.

Everything would come crashing down soon after though, as career-threatening injuries would rob Bryan of the run that he so richly deserved. He would return briefly a year later, but injuries would once again resurface and ultimately bring an end to his in-ring career.

Batista didn't make the 2014 SummerSlam either, and in hindsight this was a shame too. His comeback that year was botched from beginning to end, and he left the company once again that summer.

So, will Roman Reigns or Triple H make it to the SummerSlam card? I'd expect one of them to at least, but time will tell...

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
