In 1992, Andre's health was failing him and forced him into limited wrestling roles until his death in 1993. But for a brief moment at WCW's Clash of the Champions XX, Andre made his first, and only, appearance on WCW television. Despite how brief it is, it's an incredible moment to actually see Andre on a WCW product. He had already made his final WWF appearance a year earlier at a house show, where he assisted Davey Boy Smith in defeating Earthquake. Andre is seen using a crutch, a sure sign that he was in rough shape, but he maintained that same sense of unflinching positivity that he always had. This would also be Andre's last appearance on US television, as he spent the last several months of his career working in Japan. While it's hard to tell if WCW planned for more appearances from Andre in the future, Clash of the Champions XX serves as an interesting little time capsule to see Andre in a whole new element.
