With 218 matches in 2015, Dean Ambrose proved to be WWE's most worked wrestler. It is a statistic that will add to the feeling that Ambrose is under appreciated by WWE. Despite being so heavily involved, it wasn't as if he was ever really given much material to work with. He spent most of the summer supporting Roman Reigns, while the months before and after that were preoccupied with the Intercontinental Title scene. There was a slight main event run against WWE Champion Seth Rollins, but that felt more like WWE just wanting to get Rollins through the spring as Champion. A heel turn is what will be needed to elevate him further, but maybe WWE are just content in having a reliable guy who can put on a lot of good matches and generate a good feeling for the crowds.
