11 WWE Wrestlers With Multiple 5 Star Matches
8. CM Punk
Was CM Punk truly "the Best in the World?" It's hard to say, since the standard for ring-work has increased dramatically since his prime. However, it can't be denied that during said prime, nobody knew how to work a crowd quite like Charles Montgomery. He's of course known for his iconic match with John Cena at Money in the Bank 2011, where he won the WWE Championship in front of a rapturous Chicago crowd. That bout was the first WWE match since the original Hell in a Cell to earn 5 stars from Big Dave.
However, it was only the first 5 star match in seven years for CM Punk, as during his feud with Samoa Joe in Ring of Honor, he and the Samoan Submission Machine went to a one-hour draw in front of an equally rapturous Chicago crowd. It seems that Uncle Dave's criteria isn't just "if it happens in Japan, it's five stars." You also have a good chance of getting that honor if you wrestle CM Punk in Chicago.
With that said, you can bet Cody Rhodes is waiting with bated breath for Punk to return his calls about All In.
