2. The 1-2-3 Kid

Most fans remember X-Pac's ill-fated shot at the WWE title against The Rock, where Shawn Michaels betrayed his Kliq-mate to side with The Corporation. Few people though can remember that the 1-2-3 Kid, X-Pac's original gimmick of a young and scrappy underdog, actually had himself a title match against Bret Hart on a 1994 episode of Raw.

Kid has always had a reputation of being a solid worker, capable of matches that go beyond exceptional. His athletic style, combined with his martial arts move-set made him a great opponent who could mesh with a variety of different wrestlers.

The two would be given plenty of time to work, going beyond 20 minutes with JR and Macho Man Randy Savage calling the action. Dave Meltzer would rave about the match, giving it a 4.5 star rating. It's a forgotten Raw classic.

The Kid would continue to have competent matches his whole career. He left the WWF, joining his Kliq-mates in the nWo, helping light up the cruiserweight division, before switching promotions again so he could become one of WWF's best midcarders as the emphatic X-Pac. He'd even help out in TNA's early days, working a couple phenomenal matches with AJ Styles.
