12 Actors Who Could Totally Play WWE Superstars In Movies

2. John Goodman As Sgt. Slaughter

Oh Sarge, what a damn personality. He's frequently overlooked when mentions of "Greatest Wrestlers of All Time" come up, but Slaughter was known to carry guys that weren't worth their weight in sweat for long durations of their careers. He's the ultimate worker. That story might not sound glamorous by Hollywood standards, but what's wrong with telling the story of a hard-working dude just...being awesome?

Besides, that angle as an Iraqi Sympathizer has some terrific Andy Kaufman-esque elements to it that played so well in his biopic!

Any excuse to see John Goodman play a professional wrestler is enough of a reason to start writing a script for the Sgt. Slaughter movie.

This one is tough now that John Goodman is getting up there in age, so it would be hard to see him doing anything too physical. Not that Sgt. Slaughter was exactly known for his agility, but Goodman would have to drop a few pounds to get to "fighting weight." A stunt double would be necessary, though it would feel cheap to never see Goodman's face during a "match."

That aside...LOOK AT HIM! He's John Slaughter! Or...Sgt. Goodman. Whatever, those guys have to share some DNA.
