12 Actors Who Could Totally Play WWE Superstars In Movies

1. James McAvoy As Roddy Piper

Rowdy Roddy Piper was pure dynamite. The guy was one of the most clever minds in wrestling, with a ballsy attitude and a sharp tongue. He was the epitome of The Attitude Era a full decade before that became a tagline. And wouldn't that be fun to see translated to the silver screen?

Even though Roddy Piper was born in Saskatchewan, his Hot Rod character was WWE's closest approximation to a Scotsman. As such, wouldn't it be fun to have an honest-to-goodness Scottish actor playing the role of a Canadian...playing the role of a Scottish man?

There's no need to get a buff guy for Piper, either, since he was always a little softer and had more of a working man's physique. James McAvoy has had a streak of feisty characters in recent history (Filth, Trance), and it's not hard to see his eyes light up saying the line "Just when you think you have all the answers, I CHANGE THE QUESTIONS!"
