12 Best WWE Insults Of 2016

12. "Have Fun Being The Guy That Plays John Cena On TV"

Ahead of their excellent triple threat match at SmackDown Live's No Mercy PPV, AJ Styles, John Cena, and Dean Ambrose had a heated promo segment on an episode of the blue show to hype the match. Strangely enough it didn't focus on Cena talking about loving the fans and all that jazz, as Styles and Ambrose signalled a true changing of the guard with some heated words for the leader of the Cenation.

It was Ambrose that hit hardest however, laying to waste the common belief that Cena is the hardest working man in sports entertainment. Ambrose spoke of Cena flying in private jets to awards ceremonies whilst Ambrose stays in the ring, he spoke of loyalty, of hustle, of respect. It was one of Ambrose's finest promos to date.

He finished it with a fabulous line, accusing Cena of being nothing more than a caricature of 'John Cena' with the line, "have fun being the guy who plays John Cena on TV."

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
