12 Biggest WWE Championship Change Squashes

8. Kane vs. Chavo Guerrero - ECW Title (WrestleMania 24)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QWQr3CSaY0 The first and only time the ECW Championship was defended at WrestleMania was a joke. Kane won a 24-man battle royal at WrestleMania XXIV to win a title opportunity, and then sprung up behind champ Chavo Guerrero, hitting a chokeslam to end Chavo€™s two-month reign. Sure, it was a €œWrestleMania moment„,€ but after Joey Styles and Tazz talked about how great it was to see the title defended at WWE€™s signature event, an 11-second match really showed just how little WWE brass thought of its red-headed stepchild of a brand. Less than two years later, ECW was unceremoniously dumped in favor of NXT (the goofy pseudo-reality show competition, not the full-fledged minor league promotion). There still are some fans who will chant €œECW!€ at WWE events, but it looks like WWE has squeezed all the blood it can from that stone.
